In this conference series, we invite world leaders of various fields who are contributing to social innovations, and those who are willing to share their ideas and know-how from each of expertise. Collectively we are creating cross-border innovations involving SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and other diverse issues that influence the quality of life of the next generation. Our target audiences are stakeholders of social innovations, such as startups, investors, and professional skill providers, incubators, corporate and university innovation centers who are prospective users of the new global platform which enables cost and time efficient cross-border collaborations. This conference is the first of its series, and this time we are focusing on India, the country which has grown rapidly in recent years and is a leading nation of social impact investment and IT enterprises. Remarkable speakers from both India and Japan are coming together in Tokyo, Experts of Impact investment and authority of sustainable social development design to share the realistic and updated view of India, with proposals of new India global partnership.

Session 01: We bring some of the most influential entrepreneurs and venture builder in India, The founding CEO of India’s largest incubation hub T-hub, and current senior partner of deep tech funds, also India’s most influential young startup investor, also the infrastructure builder and up and coming hub designers on the stage to discuss what is the future cross border innovation hub may look like.

Session 02: Mr. Ken Shibusawa, an expert of longterm investment/alternative investment who is the 5th generation descendant of Mr.Eichi Shibusawa ( the man who is going to be the next face of 10,000 Japanese Yen), will go face to face with Mr.Yoshiki Hashimoto, an investment committee member and an advisor of Aarvishikaar to reveal behind the scene of their successful business model. Aarvishkaar is the biggest impact fund in Asia, continue to generate a successful social impact while also creating financial success equivalent to those of Silicon Valley VCs.
  
Session 03: We hear from Mr.Pradyumna Vyas, the former director of the National Institute of Design in India, speaks about the design for sustainable social development. After Prof. Inayoshi’s presentation of the Global Impact Design Fund Symbol, we move to the discussion on the type of project we would fund and how the cross-border design collaborations can create a growing impact both locally and globally.

Note: You can also take advantage of Seekers Base’s scheduling and facilitation of individual business meetings days after the conferences. Universities, research institute managers, scale ready entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, etc. who are interested in cross-border “collaboration” and “co-creation” are most welcomed to participate!!

yoshiki hashimotoIn 1981 he began his career in Nomura Security Company, Japan-US corporate finances, capital raising from foreign governments and international institutions, new product development, listing foreign corporations to Tokyo stock exchange, securitization of real estate properties are areas he had worked on. In 1988, he was transferred to Nomura Security in England and worked on M&A, In 1990, he worked as a head of the representative office in Viena, In 1993 returned to Japan to work on Osaka branch,  Japan Center for International Financial. In 1997, he had worked in Investment bank division, 2003, went to Nomura security England as a director of  European merchant banking division and formed investment team to invest in Bio, IT, health care services, environmental ventures.  After working for Nomura Holdings, corporate management planning office,  from 2007, he went to Hong Kong Nomura Security as a head of  Asia merchant banking division. He was in charge of investing in India and China growth corporations.  In 2013, after resining at Nomura Security he worked as an advisor and accelerator for The Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation and worked as a consultant for SME corporation. Prior to joining Nomura Security,  he worked at International Economy Division of  Foreign Ministry of Japan, he graduated at Osaka University of Foreign Studies major in the German language,  also studied at the University of Marburg.
 
 
Sanjeev Sinha

Mr. Sinha, President of India Japan Partnership Fund Group and an early stage promoter and advisor for the Indian High-Speed Rail Project is a prominent resident of Japan for 22 years, formerly with Goldman Sachs, Mizuho, UBS, PwC and as Chief Country Representative of Tata Asset Management and Tata Realty and Infrastructure in Japan raising a billion USD. Pradyumna Vyas
Former Director- National Institute of Design India/ Former Executive Director of India Design Council/ Founder/ Secretary General/ Advisor at World Design Organization (WDO)/ Seekers Base Japan Honorary Advisor
Pradyumna Vyas acquired a Masters in Industrial Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. In June 2010, Vyas was conferred with an honorary Master of Arts degree from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, the United Kingdom in recognition of his contributions to design education and design promotion.
Vyas has more than 33 years of professional and teaching experience in different spheres of design. Since the last 27 years, he has been associated with the National Institute of Design (NID) as a faculty in the Industrial Design discipline. In April 2009, he was appointed as the Director of the National Institute of Design. Prior to joining NID, Vyas acquired three years overseas experience at the Kilkenny Design Centre, Republic of Ireland.
In July 2011, Vyas was given the award for his outstanding contribution to design education at Singapore.
Vyas was invited as the jury member for the special awards screening panel at Good Design Award (G-Mark) by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, Japan consequently in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016.
He has been at the helm of design promotion events in India and has represented NID in various international and national events. He was elected as an ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design) Executive Board Member for 2009–11.
In March 2009 and Mr. Vyas has been nominated as its Member Secretary of India Design Council by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
In July 2015, World Education Congress, 2015 conferred the award for Outstanding Contribution to Education to Mr. Vyas.
In March 2016, Mr. Vyas was honored with the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award – Design, 2016’ at the first ‘India UX Design Awards’ for his pioneering efforts in the field of design education and design promotion.
In August 2017, Mr. Vyas was felicitated with ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by Times Education Icons 2017, for his immense contribution towards design education and design promotion.

He is known for spearheading the emergence of T-Hub as CEO T- Hub, India’s largest Startup Incubator, and was responsible for building comprehensive corporate innovation and accelerator programs. Senior C- Level Executive with 15+ years of startup & corporate B2B Experience. Krishnan, who is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, He was also the co-founder of Radifinity, an industrial IoT start-up that was acquired by the Aditya Birla Minacs in 2010 through an asset sale. Krishnan has also worked with Cisco and Juniper Networks in developing new product initiatives, in the enterprise and service provider space.

Dr. Ritesh Malik is the founder at Innov8 Co-working office space. Innov8 is located at Connaught Place (CP), Delhi which aims at providing offices at relatively cheaper rates.Initially, Ritesh Malik was a successful doctor who was graduated from M.G.R. Prof. Hiromi Inayoshi
Master Artist/ Social Designer/ Social Innovator/Seekers Base Japan Honorary Advisor
Master artist in mark (logo) designs and one of the world-class corporate identity (CI) designers, Hiromi Inayoshi has established a style of his own in the graphic design world, particularly in CI designs with mark (logo) as its core, and designed logo marks for many enterprises and organizations in the world. In addition, he proclaims that mark is art, icon portraying one’s inner self, and has established a new form of art, personal mark (logo), giving rise to a Renaissance of portrayal art. Since 1999 he has designed and created personal marks for many people in the world, including such head of states, VIPs and cultural figures as His Majesty the King of Thailand, His Majesty Sultan of Brunei, His Holiness Dalai Lama 14th and Prof. Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Peace Laureate. Recently he has tried various types of artistic extensions with his 2D marks, applying sophisticated techniques, and has developed them into 3D sculptures with traditional lacquer works, into brocade weaving and jewelry, which have been sublimed as an art form beyond comparison. His global artistic activities include aino and rabbisun, to mention only a few of the wide array of his sculptures and modern artworks, introduced mainly in New York City. While flourishing as designer and artist with outstanding creativity, Since 1996, he has become active in social actions through art, with aim to solve the global problems and to establish everlasting peace, and deployed global-scale art-aid projects for peace such as support for United Nations through designing, and “the Biggest Painting in the World 2020” project in which the paintings by children across the world, regardless of nationality, race, religion, and language, are sewn together into one great painting, in order to promote peace, heiwa in Japanese, for which two Japanese characters hei (plane, level, even or smooth) and wa (circle, harmony, or conformity) are used. Other global art aids he leads include the publication of “A Picture Book without Pictures” aiming at creating the world without war or nuclear weapons, and the setting up of the design competitions focusing on developing the peace-conscious mind of the next generation as well as their creativity. and the direction of Love Earth Love Children Global Charity Campaign. With his life theme, which is leading the world into peace through art and beauty using all his ability and might, he has become a focus of world attention as a social design innovator and peace conductor.
 
 
Masako Ono 
Founder at Mudra Foundation/ Global Indian Classical Solo Odissi Dancer/ Odisha State of India “Living Legend-Living Legend Award” Winner/ Selected as “One of the 100 Japanese people respected by the world”-NEWSWEEK Magazine
In 1996, Masako Ono joined NRITYAGRAM, the dance village started by the noted Odissi dancer, late PROTIMA GAURI BEDI, and won a scholarship for her studies. She received training in Odissi from SURUPA SEN and BIJAYINI SATPATHY and attended classes in Yoga, Kalaripayattu and Mayurbhanj Chhau. She also participated in workshops held at Nrityagram by WOLFGANG THEATRE, PAUL TAYLOR 2 COMPANY, THE EXPRESSIONS, ASHA COORLAWALA, and ROBERT WILLIAMS.Subsequently, she has been living in Orissa where she received further training in Odissi from GURU KELUCHARAN MOHAPATRA, GURU RAMANI RANJAN JENA, and GURU NABA KISHORE MISHRA.She is the only Japanese Odissi dancer, an impaneled Artist of ICCR, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Govt. of India.She has performed and given lecture-demonstrations and workshops in India, Japan, USA, Canada, Italy, Sweden, Australia, France, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Peru, and Bolivia. She has performed for the former Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Junichiro Koizumi, and Mr. Shinzo Abe. She has been selected as one of the 100 most respected Japanese in the world by the Newsweek Japan in 2008, and NHK BS 1 has made a documentary film on Masako Ono in the series of “First Japanese” in 2007.She has participated in the contemporary dance project with Boi Shakti and Gerard Mustard in 2008, and now she works on her new dance choreography based on various themes and concepts.In between performances, she also puts her effort to nurture the future Odissi dancers and directs MOPA (Masako Ono Performing Arts) in India, Japan.

From 2010, she launched “MUDRA foundation”in order to support the activity of international artists help underprivileged children in India.
In 2012, Mudra Foundation took the initiative of launching ODISHA BIENNALE 2013 and organized the pre-event of ODISHA BIENNALE inviting artists from Japan and Europe.
